The Supreme Court has given relief to Malayalam actor Siddiqui in the rape case and extended the stay on his arrest. A bench of Justice Bela M Trivedi and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma extended its interim order of September 30 and granted relief to Siddiqui from arrest. and actor Siddiqui has also been asked to cooperate in the investigation. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi appeared in court on behalf of Siddiqui. Rohatgi, citing sore throat, sought some time to present his side.
And Rohatgi said that the investigating agencies are repeatedly asking Siddiqui for his mobile phone and laptop of 2016, while he does not have them now. Along with this, the investigating agencies are also asking for Siddiqui's passport and Aadhar card number. Senior advocate Ranjit Kumar appeared on behalf of Kerala Police. He said that Siddiqui is not cooperating with the police in the investigation.
