The High Court has given
relief to the petitioner Divyang candidates included in the Information
Assistant Recruitment-2023. The court summoned the reply from the state
government and the Staff Selection Board in this matter, while directing the
state government that even if the petitioner Divyang candidates do not appear
for the type test on August 27, they should be included in the document
verification process.
Relief before type test
Judge Anoop Kumar Dhand gave
this interim order on the petition of Yogesh Kumar and others. Advocate
Rampratap Saini told the court on behalf of the applicant that Rajasthan Staff
Selection Board issued recruitment for 2730 posts of Information Assistant on
16 January 2023, in which 4 percent posts were reserved for Divyangjans. The
petitioners applied in the Divyang category and participated in the written
examination. Now the type test of the candidates will be taken by the Selection
Board on August 27.
Many of the petitioners are visually impaired and many are handicapped. In such a situation, they cannot appear in the type test. Earlier, in the LDC recruitment conducted by RPSC and Junior Judicial Assistant recruitment conducted by the High Court administration, instead of taking the type test from the handicapped candidates, they were selected only on the basis of their marks in the written examination. In such a situation, their type test should not be taken in this examination also.
